Wildflower-Themed Wedding in the NH Lakes Region

Sam and Carrie’s entire wedding day was so beautiful and had traces of their wildflower theme all throughout the day. The getting-ready space at the venue was the epitome of rustic elegance with lots of wood and tasteful antiques. I absolutely loved their wildflower wedding theme! From the bridesmaids getting ready robes, to the bride’s flower crown, and all of the vibrant florals throughout, it was all stunning.

Prior to the ceremony, Sam and Carrie had a first look together with their sweet pup. We captured some beautiful portraits with the mountains in the background! Carrie was a stunner in her elegant wedding dress and flower crown. Then for the ceremony, guests were treated to gorgeous mountain views while S+C exchanged their vows under a white birch arbor. It was such a classic New Hampshire setting.

The Venue: Birch Hill Farm, Gilford, NH

The venue that Sam and Carrie chose was absolutely perfect for their wildflower wedding theme. Birch Hill Farm in Gilford, NH overlooks not only the Presidential Mountain Range but also Lake Winnipesaukee. In addition to the scenic views, the property offers meadows, lawns, and gardens to explore. The venue’s pièce de résistance, however, is the 1790s post and beam barn which hosts the main events of the reception. There is also an outdoor tent where dinner is typically held, but dancing takes place in the historic barn. Birch Hill Farm is truly an idyllic NH Lakes Region wedding venue.

Wildflower Wedding Reception Details

After S+C’s scenic ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner and speeches under the tent outside. The wildflower wedding theme carried over to dinner, with the tables decorated with gorgeous vibrant florals. They also included thoughtful touches like New Hampshire maple syrup at each place setting as guest favors. We snuck outside for some golden hour sunset portraits (pro tip - I always recommend that my couples do this!), and then everyone danced the night away to the live band. When you picture the perfect summer wedding day in New Hampshire - that was exactly how Sam and Carrie’s day went!
