Laid back Lakeside Wedding

WHAT. A. WEDDING!!! Good music, relaxed vibes and one heck of a party! Last year I met Julie and Peter during their engagement session and we had SO much fun together! When I made a crazy suggestion that they run down the middle of the Kancamagus together for an epic golden hour shot and they were down I knew the wedding day was going to be a blast! Julie and Peter shared their love story with me, it all started at a kickball game!!! They chatted for months before officially becoming a couple and now they are happily married together, what a fun love story!

The wedding day started out relaxed and calm, the bride and groom were getting ready in separate cabins and were both super excited to finally be getting married! I photographed Julie’s gown- one that she won from BHLDN for being a frontline worker during COVID. It was absolutely stunning. I had no idea that BHLDN had done a giveaway but it really touched my heart to know that one of my very deserving wedding clients won!!! After one heck of a year I would say it was more than deserved. Once Julie and Peter were both ready we met down on the docks where they shared a first look together before the ceremony. The ceremony was so special- Julie was walked down the aisle by her brothers Greg and Bobby and her brother Thomas performed the ceremony. One of my absolute favorite parts of the day was the Taylor Swift quotes and music! The Taylor Swift references were first recognized during the ceremony and continued on throughout the night. Another favorite part of the night was when Julie had her dance with her mother to the song “Where You Lead I will Follow” it was just so fun! The night continued to get better! We went out to the docks and got some fun romantic photos in the boat which I am OBSESSED with! After ALLLLLLL of that Julie + Pete shared a first scoop of Ben + Jerry’s from their dessert cart. Once all of the formalities were complete the party really started!!!
