I LOVE capturing motherhood photos. There’s something so special about this time in your life! As a mom myself, I always treasure the images I have from my pregnancies, and I love getting to give that gift to my fellow moms.
Courtney and Aaron’s maternity session in the White Mountains is a perfect example of how special these photos can be. But what made this shoot extra meaningful is that these two are actually a previous elopement couple of mine, and they came back for motherhood photos as their family is growing!
Two years ago we photographed their elopement day among the lupine fields in Sugar Hill, and this June I got to spend time with them again among the mountains and wildflowers, documenting this next beautiful chapter in their lives together.
To me, one of the absolute best parts of being a photographer is documenting couples as they transition through different milestones in life. :)
Wildflower Motherhood Photos in the White Mountains
Courtney and Aaron’s session took place in late June, and we headed to some favorite spots in the White Mountains. Our goal was to get lots of fun photos of them among the blooming wildflowers, and we definitely lucked out–the flowers were popping!
We also made our way to a lupine patch for some sentimental portraits as a little nod back to their elopement day a few years ago.
If you know me, you know I LOVE a photo session among the lupine. It’s such a short time of year when these gorgeous purple and pink flowers are in bloom in New Hampshire, so I love to take advantage! I actually wrote a post all about how to plan for your lupine flower photo session–check it out if you’re thinking about doing some lupine photos!
The weather during our session was slightly overcast, which actually ended up being perfect. Overcast light is so beautiful for photos because it makes colors really pop. So this was perfect for our wildflower field locations. The colors were stunning!
Courtney wore a really pretty cream dress that highlighted her bump so beautifully, and then changed into a white eyelet set for the second part of the session. Both looks were such a great complement to the natural scenery around them, and Aaron's outfit tied everything together nicely too! Everything felt cohesive and perfect for the mountain setting.
