Romantic Fall Wedding at The Barn on the Pemi

I’m SO excited to share all about Terisé and José’s wedding at one of my favorite NH wedding venues - The Barn on the Pemi. They were blessed with a gorgeous fall day, and the NH mountain scenery was the perfect backdrop. T + J are an amazing couple - it was such a pleasure getting to know them during both their elopement and their wedding! A Surprise NH Elopement

Shortly before Terisé and José’s wedding was supposed to take place, they found out that José’s sister was about to be deployed. This meant that she would unfortunately miss the wedding. They were so sad to get this news, as it was really important to them that she be able to witness their marriage. So, they decided to plan a surprise elopement just before their actual wedding date so that she could be there! It was a really beautiful and meaningful day, and I was so thankful that Terisé asked me to photograph it for them.

The Barn on the Pemi

Flash forward to their original wedding day at one of my absolute favorite wedding venues - The Barn on the Pemi! Located in Plymouth, New Hampshire, The Barn on the Pemi is the perfect barn wedding venue. It’s large enough to accommodate up to 300 guests, yet has an intimate feel to it with the rustic look of the barn. It’s surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, and even features a greenhouse where you can hold your ceremony! I just love this venue and Terisé and José’s wedding there was beautiful.

The Perfect Barn on the Pemi Wedding Day

T + J began the day getting ready on-site at The Barn on the Pemi. They exchanged gifts and personal notes in the morning. I love it when my couples take some personal time at the beginning of their wedding day like this! They then had a first look followed by portraits with family and the wedding party. It was a lovely fall day and the mountains were still bursting with color!

After portraits, we headed to the greenhouse for their ceremony. During the ceremony, the officiant actually dropped a major hint that T + J had already tied the knot! For those who didn't catch on during the ceremony though there was a table book in the reception space with their elopement photos on display.

The rest of the evening was perfect. The toasts were emotional, dinner was great, and the dancefloor was FUN! At the end of the night, we had a sparkler exit which was a fun way to send the couple off!
