If you’re hoping to plan a Loon Mountain wedding, then you will definitely want to check out the newest wedding venue in the area– River Walk Resort in Lincoln, NH.

I recently photographed a wedding there and absolutely loved it! It’s so nice to have more venue options in the White Mountains, especially one that can accommodate large-scale weddings.

In my opinion, the White Mountains are the best location for a New Hampshire wedding, so I love that the River Walk opened recently as an option for couples. Since this venue is so new, I thought I would write up a River Walk Resort wedding guide to help you plan!

The River Walk Resort Setting & Style

The River Walk Resort is a luxury wedding venue located right in the heart of the White Mountains in Lincoln. Its architectural style is somewhat inspired by the Omni Mount Washington Resort, with the white building and red roof.

The venue’s interior style can be described as “classic elegance.” The main reception area is their Grand Ballroom, which is decorated with timeless chandeliers and elegant furnishings. The greatest feature of the ballroom is the expansive windows that provide a stunning view of the White Mountains and the Pemi.

The grounds of the resort are gorgeous and provide lots of options for the different elements of your event. During the warmer seasons, you can have an outdoor ceremony overlooking their on-site vineyard with the backdrop of the mountains. And the Grand Ballroom features an outdoor deck as another gathering space for your guests during the warmer months as well.

If you’re looking for a venue with stunning nature views, the River Walk Resort is a perfect option!

With the indoor and outdoor options, it’s great for a wedding during any season. Winter weddings are so cozy with the snowy mountains in the background, spring and summer weddings take advantage of the warm weather and greenery of the mountains, and autumn weddings provide a spectacular show of fall foliage.

River Walk Resort Wedding Details

As I mentioned, the River Walk is an excellent option if you’re planning a large wedding, as their Grand Ballroom can accommodate all the way up to 400 guests! And if you’re planning something on the more intimate side, it’s suitable for that too. River Walk is a very versatile wedding venue.

Their event staff will walk you through everything as well. They create custom packages and menus for their couples, so you can work with them to build your dream day. And they provide a day-of-coordinator to help everything run smoothly! This is a great benefit, because sometimes pulling everything together can be difficult on your own.

On-site Amenities at the River Walk Resort

The River Walk prides itself not only on its accommodations but on the overall experience of its resort.

Being a large resort, there are lots of on-site lodging accommodations for your guests. And with everything to do around the resort, you could host a whole wedding weekend there!

Their amenities include a spa, a winery (and vineyard to walk through outdoors), a beautiful outdoor pool, firepits, and lots of lawn games throughout.

They also have two different dining options on-site: an Italian restaurant as well as a bar and grille. This provides you with several different options to host a rehearsal dinner or welcome reception, and even an after-party! It also gives your guests different options for meals during your wedding weekend without even having to leave the property.

Loon Mountain Wedding - Nearby Attractions

The beauty of hosting a Loon Mountain wedding is of course the views, but also the proximity to everything the White Mountains have to offer!

Quite often, couples who host their wedding in the Whites have guests traveling in from all over. So it’s really fun to be able to direct them toward some cool things to do while exploring the area.

Loon Mountain and the River Walk Resort are super close to the Kancamagus Highway, which is a beautiful scenic byway with lots of turnoffs and short hiking trails to explore. A drive along the Kanc is a great way for anyone to take in the beauty of the area– you don’t have to be an avid hiker or outdoor enthusiast.

The venue is also located pretty close to the Lost River Gorge, which is really neat to explore, and we can’t forget Loon Mountain itself! If you have a winter wedding, your guests could enjoy a day of skiing or snowboarding, cross-country skiing, or a ride on the Gondola. And during the summer, there are great hikes, biking trails, zip-lining, and more!

Aside from the dining options on-site at the River Walk, Lincoln and the surrounding towns have some great food options to check out as well. A personal favorite of mine is Black Mtn Burger Co. – it’s SO good!
