Hands down, the best part of getting married in New Hampshire is all of the beautiful scenery. We are so lucky to have access to so much nature - from the White Mountains to the Lakes Region to the Seacoast, you really can’t go wrong no matter where you decide to have your wedding! We are also super lucky because we have lots of outdoor wedding venues in NH to choose from in order to incorporate some nature into your day. To make your search easier, today I’m rounding up all of my favorites!
Depending on the season that you choose to get married in, there are lots of great options for incorporating the outdoors into your wedding. Whether you’re planning a traditional large wedding or something on the more intimate side, these venues all have wonderful properties.

The Best Outdoor Wedding Venues in NH
#1 - Owls Nest Resort

First up is the Owl’s Nest Resort. Located in the White Mountains in Thornton, NH, the Owl’s Nest has absolutely STUNNING mountain views. They have four separate event locations on site, with 3 of them primarily used for weddings.
The space that I’ve seen used most frequently for weddings is the Sunset Pavillion. I love it for outdoor weddings because the pavilion walls are retractable, so you can have the walls open during your reception to embrace more of the White Mountains.
The other spaces include the Lakehouse, the Boathouse, and the Vault. Each space has its own unique features, so you have lots of variety when planning a wedding at the Owl's Nest.
Maximum Guest Capacity: 300 (The Lakehouse)

#2 Locke Falls Farm

Another outdoor wedding venue in the White Mountains is Locke Falls Farm. This venue is on the smaller side but is very cute, with lots of flowers around the property and spectacular mountain views.
The venue itself is a renovated 1844 New England homestead situated in the beautiful countryside of Wonalancet, NH (near Tamworth). The homestead is a great space for your wedding party accommodations, as it can accommodate up to 15 guests overnight. They even have multi-day packages depending on how many nights you’d like for you and your party to stay. And one of which even includes bridal yoga!
The ceremony is typically held outside on the beautiful grounds (again, with great mountain views), and the reception is usually held in the newer barn area. They have a few barn spaces for your cocktail hour and reception too.
Maximum Guest Capacity: 200

#3 The Preserve at Chocorua
Another beautiful venue in Tamworth, NH, and in the center of the White Mountains is The Preserve at Chocorua. The venue is a beautiful estate that sits on 26 acres. The estate features lots of space for accommodations, so if you’re looking for a venue that your guests can stay at as well, The Preserve is a great option!
Ceremonies are typically held on the grounds outdoors, and the reception is held inside their barn. When booking a wedding there, you have the estate for Thursday through Sunday, so you can host a full wedding weekend. They also have a Maple Sugar Shack on site, which could be incorporated into your wedding for a unique element! And finally, this venue is committed to sustainability, so if this is important to you, definitely check them out.
Maximum Guest Capacity: 250+ (for buffet/cocktail style reception, or 225 seated), and up to 60 overnight guests.
#4 Mohawk Falls

Mohawk Falls is an incredible wedding venue that feels so quintessential New Hampshire. Unlike some of the older estate venues, Mohawk Falls was built recently in 2016. It’s located in Dixville (northern New Hampshire), with a forest all around the venue. At the center of the property is a beautiful small pond, where ceremonies are held. Cocktail hour is also held outdoors, and then receptions are held inside their post-and-beam pavilion. The pavilion has large windows that make you feel like you’re still outside, so this venue really embraces the beautiful NH scenery.
Maximum Guest Capacity: 200
#5 Lake Shore Village Resort

If a lakeside wedding is your vibe, you’ll LOVE Lake Shore Village Resort! Their property is right on Lake Horace in Weare, NH, and features a private beach and a serene and peaceful setting for your wedding. It’s another great venue for a weekend wedding, as they have accommodations for guests in their 19 lakehouses that all range from 2-5 bedrooms.
I love this venue because it’s laid back, and you can have everything outdoors, from your ceremony to cocktail hour to your reception.
Maximum Guest Capacity: 150

Garden Wedding Venues in NH
If you’re specifically looking for some outdoor wedding venues in New Hampshire with a garden feel, these are my two favorites!
#1 The Barn on The Pemi

The Barn on The Pemi is in Plymouth, NH, and is definitely one of my favorite venues in all of New England. Located right on the Pemigewasset River with stunning mountain views, this venue embraces nature in multiple ways. You can choose from multiple locations for your ceremony - the greenhouse, patio area, or inside the barn. Then cocktail hour is typically hosted outside on the patio, and the reception is usually inside the barn.
The venue is operated by Common Man hospitality (of the Common Man family of restaurants), so the food is always great. They’re also opening a new outdoor pavilion space in the spring of 2025, which will be perfect for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, or farewell brunches. And there are accommodations on site for you and your bridal party.
Maximum Guest Capacity: 300
{Check out Abby and Chris’s day there!}
#2 The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain

This venue is the ultimate garden wedding venue. The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain in Goffstown, NH has SO many picturesque outdoor spaces throughout their property. They’re all great for photos, as well as for your outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! From the formal rose garden to more quaint and cozy spaces, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. I definitely recommend checking it out!
Maximum Guest Capacity: 200
