Kayla and Chris had the perfect Waterville Valley wedding, and I’m so excited to share it today! Their wedding was filled with love and emotion and was beautifully designed. Not to mention, the scenery at the Waterville Valley Resort is spectacular! If you are looking for New Hampshire White Mountain wedding inspiration, then you will love everything about Kayla and Chris’s day.

The Perfect Waterville Valley Wedding

Summer Wedding in the White Mountains

It was such a joy getting to know Kayla and Chris throughout their wedding planning process. They are wonderful people through and through! They first met in college at Penn State, where they got engaged in the fall of 2022. They now live in Gilford, NH with their Rottweiler/Lab mix Summit. They absolutely love enjoying everything that New Hampshire’s Lakes Region and the White Mountains have to offer, so having their wedding at the Waterville Valley Resort was a no-brainer.

Their day began with getting ready on-site at the resort. The ladies had mimosas in the bridal suite while the guys got ready together nearby. From there we headed to the ceremony site where K + C had a touching ceremony under the beautiful arbor. Shout out to Shepherd’s Gate Flower Farm who decorated the arbor so elegantly in the prettiest blue flowers! It was the perfect summer day for an outdoor ceremony in the mountains.

After that, we spent time taking some portraits outside with the scenic White Mountains in the background and then headed to cocktail hour which was held outside the lodge. For dinner, everyone moved into the Garden Terrace tent where the wedding party and couple were announced into the party, and the reception kicked off from there! The reception decor was perfectly New England - the colors were classic blue and white, and the place settings even included individual bottles of maple syrup as favors! Guests were treated to a wonderful dinner and everyone had a great time dancing the night away.

Waterville Valley Weddings

As a New Hampshire wedding photographer, I love getting to experience all of the beautiful wedding venues in our state, especially in the White Mountains. Waterville Valley Resort is amazing if you are looking for a White Mountain wedding venue. First and foremost, it is located among some of the most gorgeous scenery in the state and nestled among the Whites. During the winter it is a phenomenal ski resort, and weddings there in the summer are spectacular.

The venue provides lots of options for their couples and you don’t just get a one-size-fits-all wedding. There are four different options for ceremony sites, including a site at the summit, as well as the beautiful Osceola Arbor site where K + C held their ceremony. The Osceola Arbor area sits among a beautiful field lined with birch trees and has a pond nearby. Waterville Valley Resort offers multiple reception options as well, including the Garden Terrace Tent which K + C opted for, as well as a large ballroom and a lounge-style reception area in the lodge. There are also multiple areas on-site for getting ready, and the venue offers an open-air trolley for transport around the resort!

Personalized Touches

To me, the best part about Kayla and Chris’s day was all of the special touches that they included throughout. I love it when my couples include lots of personalization in their day, and K + C did just that! They had some fun stationery featuring their pup Summit, and as golf fans, they had some cute nods to the game throughout the wedding (Waterville Valley also has a fantastic golf course!). But, one of the sweetest moments of the day was during the father-daughter dance. Kayla’s father gifted her with a pair of red shoes for their dance because The Wizard of Oz was her favorite movie as a little girl. It was SO touching!

Kayla and Chris’s day was just a really nice day all around. It was the perfect New Hampshire summer wedding. I’m so honored to have been able to capture it for them, and grateful for the chance to get to know such a sweet couple!
