If you are looking for New England winter wedding inspiration, then you will love Danielle + Alec’s day as much as I did! This Stowe Vermont wedding took place at the Lodge at Spruce Peak, and it was everything you could imagine for a romantic winter wedding.
A Stowe Vermont Wedding
The day began with the couple getting ready - conveniently for Danielle and her bridesmaids, Spruce Peak offers the ability to get ready right at their spa! This is a perfect option for a venue that is so far north. D + A are incredibly sweet, kind, and loving people, so it was so much fun to be around them all day. They even gifted their parents and their wedding party members with sentimental pieces that told the story of their friendship or relationship! I thought this was the sweetest idea ever.
New England Winter Wedding Details
D + A selected the Lodge at Spruce Creek as their venue because of their love for winter. It’s the perfect venue if you’re looking for cozy, ski mountain vibes! It even snowed during their outdoor ceremony - which couldn’t have been more perfect. I love that this venue really embraces the natural beauty that surrounds it. The views were absolutely spectacular - because the ceremony was outdoors on the terrace, guests got an amazing view of the ski slopes during the ceremony. I also loved that they incorporated the winter them into the ceremony by decorating their ceremony arbor with flowers and antique snow shoes!
Danielle and her bridesmaids all had gorgeous fur coats to wear over their dresses. And while the bride carried a stunning bouquet of all red roses (which completely popped against the white snow and her gown!!), the bridesmaids each carried a single white rose during the processional. It was so elegant!
{If you love winter weddings, you might also love Krista + Colin’s day, as well as Deirdre + Brodie’s!}
Although this wedding was large, (including a 22-person wedding party!), it still felt completely intimate. To me, it seemed like this was due to the strong connections Danielle + Alec have with their family and friends, as well as the cozy setting of course.
The rest of the evening following the ceremony was an absolute blast. D + A held their reception in the Lodge’s Tamarack Ballroom, where guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, and dancing. My favorite little detail that they included was a picture of their pup on their drink stirrers - adorable!!
We were even able to sneak outside during the party to capture some super romantic couples photos in the snow. You can completely feel the warmth and coziness of that moment through the images, they’re so special! I always encourage my couples to take a few moments away from the reception party for portrait photos. You are so much more relaxed at that point, so the pictures wind up having such incredible energy. You won’t regret it, I promise!
Overall this Stowe, Vermont wedding was just amazing. It was such an honor to be a part of it, and I’m beyond excited for Danielle and Alec!!
