I absolutely loved photographing this Winthrop Carter House wedding, and I’m so excited to share the images today! I love the look and feel of the photos from this celebration, and Kennah and Tucker’s day was stunning from start to finish. Between the gorgeous setting, the thoughtful details, and the joy these two radiated, it was an absolute dream to be a part of!
A Classic & Timeless Winthrop Carter House Wedding

About the Winthrop Carter House
Located just north of Concord in Boscawen, NH, the Winthrop Carter House is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a centrally located venue in New Hampshire. The grounds are stunning, with whimsical gardens and outdoor spaces that both you and your guests can enjoy. It’s also a pet-friendly venue! So it’s a great choice if you’d like to include your dog in your wedding day.
The property features a gorgeous barn reception space that’s so elegant. The space is decorated with beautiful chandeliers and draped fabric, giving it a look that goes way beyond the typical rustic wedding look.
For ceremonies, there are multiple outdoor locations to choose from, and on Kennah and Tucker’s August wedding day, they were able to enjoy both their ceremony and cocktail hour outside.
Another huge plus is the historic colonial home on the property, which now serves as an inn. It can sleep up to 16 guests, making it ideal for your wedding party or family to stay on-site. It also doubles as a beautiful getting-ready space with vintage charm, which is where Kennah got ready with her bridesmaids.

Kennah & Tucker’s Winthrop Carter House Wedding
K + T kicked their wedding weekend off with a beautiful Italian garden-themed rehearsal dinner at the venue. It was the perfect way to welcome their families and another opportunity to take advantage of the venue’s grounds. I was so grateful to be there to photograph it all!
They are such a fun couple, and that energy came through in every part of their wedding day. They chose a late-summer color palette that couldn’t have been more perfect, with bright florals in shades of pink paired with bridesmaids’ dresses in green. Tucker and his groomsmen wore classic beige and cream suits that felt summery and sharp, while Kennah was absolutely stunning in her gown.
We lucked out with amazing August weather on their wedding day, and both their outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour were gorgeous. They included so many thoughtful details throughout their day, including an elegant, vintage-inspired cake and bright, summery decor.
They also chose to have mother dances, which was a touching emotional moment – Tucker dancing with his mom, followed by Kennah with hers. Then later in the evening, we snuck out for some outdoor portraits among the trees, capturing those quiet, romantic shots before the dance floor got really crazy!
Another detail I loved was their guestbook. They had a Polaroid camera out so guests could snap photos and leave notes, which was such a fun, interactive touch that gave them a collection of memories to look back on! From the heartfelt moments to the nonstop fun on the dance floor, this was a wedding that truly celebrated love, family, and joy.
