October 14, 2022
Terisé and José are longtime favorits of mine! We met in 2021 during their winter engagement session in the White Mountains. It was freezing out that day, rather uncomfortable, but somehow these two had tons of fun! Their laughter and playfulness was palpable, you almost can’t tell in the photos that it was negative seven degrees out! Fast forward to fall 2021, I met up with Terisé and José at a pond in the White Mountains again for their more official and formal engagement session. Each wedding package that I offer comes with a complimentary engagement session and I was really excited to see these two again! We lucked out and had their session during peak foliage. It was a rainy, moody mountain day and the photos were just perfect. The year 2022 snuck up on us and it was finally their wedding year! Terisé and José won a lupine session with me in June 2022 which was honestly such a treat! My favorite couple at my favorite location during my favorite flower season!!
It was hard to believe that the next event I’d photograph for these two would finally be their wedding day! This day was long anticipated and it almost feels like my photos are a part of their love story. Just when I thought I wasn’t going to see these two again until their wedding day another opportunity came up that I just couldn’t pass. Terisé and José just found out that his sister would not be able to attend their wedding due to being deployed just days before. This was heartbreaking to the couple as Terisé lost her brother before the wedding and she didn’t want to experience this day without José’s sister. They reached out to their wedding vendors to see if there was any chance they could sneak in a private ceremony on October 14th before José’s sister was deployed. Luckily a few of us were available and we were able to make it happen!
Terisé and José had their private ceremony in her hometown, Penacook, at the local apple orchard. They arrived at Carter Hill Orchard dressed in elopement day attire and met their family on the front porch of the farm store. Terisé made this a surprise to her grandmother and it was so fun to watch it all unfold! We walked across the driveway to the gazebo for some rain cover, this is where the ceremony took place. After a short but sweet ceremony we took fun photos in the orchard. At the end of our time together they celebrated with the world’s best cider donuts!!
