A Classic Wedding at the Sunset Pavilion at Owl’s Nest Resort

Liv and Caleb's August wedding at the Sunset Pavilion at Owl's Nest Resort was such a beautiful day! It was so classic and elegant, and I loved every detail. As a New Hampshire wedding photographer, I love when my couples book the Owl’s Nest in the White Mountains for their wedding. It’s one of my favorite venues, hands down! So I’m super excited to share all of the details from Liv and Caleb’s gorgeous wedding there today.

The day started out with the most fun wedding morning in the bridal suite with Liv, her family, and her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was so lively and fun! And one of my favorite little details from the day was her dad’s tie – it had a picture of the two of them together sewn into the back of it. Such a sweet touch!! 🥹

Liv and Caleb chose not to do a first look, so we got creative and did all of their separate portraits before the ceremony behind the getting-ready house. This worked out perfectly because it meant they could enjoy cocktail hour together with their guests, which is always a win!

The decor was stunning and so classic. I really loved their seating chart. It was a unique twist on the popular mirror trend, but they used a painting as the backdrop for their guest lists instead! Their reception tables were decorated with beautiful, lush greenery and white florals, and the bouquets were in the same color palette with the addition of mauve roses, which tied in perfectly with the bridesmaids' dresses and the guys' ties. As always, Sweet Lavender Floral Design did an amazing job!

As the evening went on, Owl's Nest delivered yet another gorgeous sunset. This is truly one of the best perks of this venue. We were able to sneak outside for some golden hour portraits with the mountains in the background, which Liv was really looking forward to.

Their first dance was choreographed and so much fun to watch. It was full of twirls, twists, and lifts that had everyone cheering! The rest of the night was full of lots of dancing and great energy. They also had the coolest photo booth–it was a 360 video booth that their guests really loved!

If you haven't looked into the Owl's Nest Resort as a wedding venue, I definitely recommend it. The Sunset Pavilion in particular, where Liv and Caleb’s reception was, is such a stunning space! It’s modern and airy with panoramic views of the property and the White Mountains.
